Company i worked for has 150 employees, it was bought by a large corporation now they want us to wear uniforms with branded logo on it. I work in the city at law firms, i wear a suit in summer. What would you do if this happened, would you just find another job or put up with it? I am sure its just the start of many new silly rules.

I would put up with it, but it would count as a negative factor against the company at any point in which I was balancing out whether I wanted to continue my employment there.

My company got bought out a few years ago and the new company tried to impose a dress code i.e. trousers not jeans, shoes not trainers, shirts and a tie (though you didn't have to wear the tie, just have one in case it was needed). Everyone just ignored it.

Similar thing happened at mine, unless you're client facing or meeting clients that day then what is the point... better to wear whatever is comfortable.

So they want you to visit law firm clients dressed as a retail shop worker? Carry on wearing your suit and highlight their absurd "catch all" policies.

My current workplace has a very relaxed attitude to attire. I love this fact and it's a big bonus for the work atmosphere. I probably wouldn't leave if they changed it though.

Well in winter i wear a black suit trouser and white shirts, but i have 8 shirts. in summer i wear a suit with white shirt. I just have a problem with the fact that i can't try them on and just have to send them a size, so you know its not going to fit right and it will be low quality. It will look a lot less professional. They probably only give a few shirts as well so i would have to do washing twice a week.

My chances of meeting a girl on the tube will go from zero to minus 50.

I can barely understand anything OP has said in this thread. Strange to have someone working for a legal firm not being able to string a sentence together. Sorry to be critical OP... I just find it rather odd and slightly amusing. Uniform does sound a bit silly, I have to agree.
