Good thing we are part of the EU so we can cooperate with our European neighbours to help arrest such people, if they happen to be on British soil.

Can you imagine if we weren't part of the EU, such criminals would enter Britiain and be relative immune to foreign powers.

...but being in the EU and allowing all any Tom, Dick and Harry free entry is a good thing. Or at least that's what the government says anyway.

This has nothing to do with the EU. People who have fake passports and hide their identity will go where they please. This has nothing to do with immigration. They didn't emigrate to Britain, they fled their home countries to hide somewhere else illegally. Some police intelligence suggests they may be in the UK, but I bet the French, German, Spanish, etc police will also have them on record as wanted criminals and potentially living in those countries.

Being part of the EU only helps stop the free passage of such people due to better international police relations.

Interpol, whose full name is the International Criminal Police Organization

Way Way before EU...

Gents you do realize these are not truelly UK most wanted - they are not wanted for crimes committed in UK, it doesn't even mean that they are in UK, in fact almost all of them are wanted by their own authorities under European Warrant. They are most wanted by Interpol, and only because their respective police authorities are actively looking for their criminals, across borders, even if it's "only" for "cannabis cultivation" or like the most wanted man in Georgia for "meeting his neighbour at a crossroad and starting a quarrel which soon resulted in a fight".

But the EU gives far more power too allow police forces an intelligence agencies to cooperate and for the legal system to deport criminals. If a British criminal escapes to outside the EU it is much harder to handle and ensure rightful legal proceedings.

The british gangster consists nowadays of some chav going round beating up grannies, driving a corsa with a fart cannon and dealing in small quantities of weed, oh and living under parents roof still.
Proper english gangsters are dead.

Well there are known criminals in Spain but the UK cop dont bother with extradition
as the process is long and not worth the money.

So they stay there.
