United States Grand Prix 2013, Austin - Race 18/19

I keep saying, we need the cars on their limit, with the tyres being the limit no one makes mistakes(only ones of pure stupidity like Sutil). When was the last time you saw someone spin out on a corner trying to overtake, that kind of thing. How many people in gravel traps(without a failure), how many failures. Cars at 99% we'd get more failures, more mistakes and that itself would throw up many more unpredictable races.

This year is a joke, even the worst drivers on the grid are barely making real mistakes. Make tyres last 20 laps but full speed for 18 of them then drop off a cliff.... without exploding. Drivers not on their limit make this basically completely boring.

im starting to hate vettel engineer more than vettel now.

look after your tires!

look after your car!

grip levels are looking only ok!

*fastest lap of race*

Rockys acting is better than the actor who played his namesake :p

Vettel does amazing considering his car is almost on the verge of spontaniously combusting every GP ;)

DO think Hulk kinda gifted that place back to Alonso a bit, he seemed to get him, have plenty of time to choose his line and more space but screwed that completely.

Also, lol, spin in the dry, when was the last time you saw one of those :p

pigeon'd it :p Mostly just crap driving really.

Good to hear Bottas got points otherwise a pretty boring race

i do think mclaren kept the wrong driver myself. perez has some money too

JB has nearly twice the number of points over the season so far, and after today JB also overtook a lotus, a Ferrari and a Sauber......(and gained 6 places from the grid).........a big fat 0 place gain for Perez (without really challanging anyone ahead of him for any real length of time).

So yes of course Perez is worth the seat - lol

I think it's not actually that far from the truth, whenever that car was pushing harder Webber gets failures, Vettel's like two races stuck behind cars, it was overheating, got a failure in one, unable to keep his tyres going well in the other after being stuck behind someone. WEbber unable to pass a car he could cruise up to at will. It's not a car designed to follow others, and as above, if it was at 99% every race it could have been unreliable, who knows.

The actual "your tyres are about to fall off" stuff is bull. But it seems one of the quickest cars to pick up failures when it's following others.
