Yup. That pretty much sealed it for him. Gave him purple S1 and a couple of extra tenths on Hamilton keeping him out of the DRS zone.

Fair play to Max having enough in the tyres to keep himself just quick enough, would have been all too easy to obliterate the tyres early

Well that wasn't as exciting as I thought it was going to be. Though on Friday it looked like it was going to be a very boring race with Merc having that early advantage in FP1 so guess it could had been worse.

Bit confused why Lewis didn't get DRS off the penultimate lap, just like Max did up to turn 1.

I assume he must have slipped out of that 1 second gap? It nobbled him though
