I dont know the history here. Was it gotten rid of just because the cars could go so ridiculously fast?I vote for bringing back active suspension.

Safety I think as well. If the electronics failed it could potentially induce quite a big accident.I dont know the history here. Was it gotten rid of just because the cars could go so ridiculously fast?
FIA we’re kinda scared if the computers controlling all the systems crashed the car would be uncontrollable, if memory servesI dont know the history here. Was it gotten rid of just because the cars could go so ridiculously fast?

Ahh, Mansell and his self driving Williams.Another reason was that it was seen as reducing driver skill
It was getting to the point where you could put a 'Chimpanzee' in the '93 Williams and they would win the WDC
I've always like Mansell but he really was a proper serial whinger back in those days.
Reminds me of this.....
Gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us ‘take a monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car.’ Thirty years later, Sebastian told us ‘I had to start my car like a computer, it’s very complicated.’ And Nico Rosberg said that during the race – I don’t remember what race – he pressed the wrong button on the wheel. Question for you both: is Formula One driving today too complicated with twenty and more buttons on the wheel, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the technical programme during the race? Less buttons, more? Or less and more communication with your engineers?
What bothers me more than the FIA being incompetant bell ends is the fact that all the teams are basically 6 year olds tattling on each other for whatever tiny margain they can scrape out.
The rules need to be changed, simplified and the onus put on the race director/stewards to monitor and appropriately warn teams/flag any cars that fall outside the requirements. It's that simple.
Let the teams decide if their car is race legal? Don't make me laugh - they'd send their cars out with 3 wheels and half a rear wing if they thought it would net them an extra tenth of second.
