**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Just fitted some Pilot Sport 4's to the front of my edition 30 GTI.

What sort of mileage can I expect, its not tracked just road driven as a commuting car and occasional weekend blast... Say 12-15k something like that?

Hey guys,

I'll be after some new tyres for the BRZ *soon* I expect.

I'll probably be doing 2 big trackdays and 2 smaller ones before the end of the year but it is coming up to the sketchy-weather time of the year, so what'll be the best mix for trackday & wet grip?

Usually I'd go for some Eagles but they're a bit soft for the track and got torn up in my Civic.

Michelin Super Sports still the one, or any other recommendations?

PS4 has superceded Super sport now. I would get Yoko AD08r though.

This, I run AD08R in something similar power/weight as a supercharged BRZ. They handle standing water fine, and only get loose if you drive like a tool

What do you guys think of this, any cause for concern? Just noticed my driver's side CSC6 has a strange line. Now this line may have been there from new, but as I never looked at this area up close (never had any reason to), it didn't really stand out. The passenger side tyre on the exact same area has no such line.

Only done 7741 miles, so loads of tread left too:

Weird.

Maybe one of the steel wires running through the tyre has broken and indented on the wall? I'd recommend taking it to a tyre specialist and sending that photo to Continental to see if they know what it is?

I've been trying to take some photos of my car for Show Us Your Motors for about 6 weeks now and they've all turned out crap. mrk can make a tyre look good!
