**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Is there even a 5 series owners club? (excluding the M5 of course)

Fair enough if they were Type R, Clio 1*2 size tyres they would probably shift, but nobody with the money to afford an F10 is going to go sourcing on forums for part worn tyres. These type of people will tend to roll up to a BMW garage, hand the car over for the day and be on with their business...

Hmmmm. Any more recent thoughts on Eagle F1 AS2 v Contisport Contact 5?

I'm a huge Eagle F1A2 fan and have never been anything but thoroughly impressed with them but this year it's the CS5/5P thats topping all the tests, with the F1A2 usually 2nd or 3rd. So clearly both are still exceptional.

CS5 are £50 more per set (And I'd end up mixing 5P at the back and 5 at the front, though presumably this isn't an issue?).

I've got CS5's and F1A2s on my car at the moment. I do prefer the CS5's, as the F1s seem to have a much softer tyre wall. Having said that, if it's £50 cheaper for the F1s, I'd buy the F1's

I know people who swear by Avon tyres and people who reckon they're not all that. I suppose it depends what tyres each persons had experience of.

Personally I'm Interested in knowing the opinion of hankook tyres, never tried them myself.

It's for a standard fiesta doing a commute, cheers.

Hankook's are decent, I've had a pair on the ST, and whilst they aren't as good as F1AS2s or Conti's they offer good performance for the price.

I know a few people on here use Tyre Leader, myself included, but a friend is currently having an awful experience with them and their customer service department which I thought I'd share.

He ordered a set of tyres from them on 11th October, there was an attempted delivery by DPD, for which he then tried to arrange a collection from their warehouse. He rang to arrange this, when they then told him, they are returning the tyres to Tyre Leader as per their policy.

The tyres arrived at Tyre Leader on 22nd October, to which they do not accept despite tracking information showing this, and confirmation from DPD.

Tyre Leader are still yet to send out the tyres they received back from DPD, nor have they even set out replacement tyres in the mean time.

Need some new tyres all round for my A4 B6 Avant

225/40/18

Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance @ 64.90 (£25 discount buying 4 off black circles)
Toyo T1-R @ £60.53 a corner
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 @ £72.20 a corner
Hankook Ventus Prime 3 @ £72.90 a corner
Goodyear Eagle F1 AS3 @ £75.05 a corner (£25 discount buying 4 off black circles)

I always fitted F1s or Conti's to my ST, but I don't drive the A4 like I drove the ST, so thinking mid-range tyres would do. Any experience on the Toyo's? I know Hankooks from about 7 years ago! They weren't too bad and IIRC Audi used to put them on new cars.
