I couldn't care less if it's about the PS3, and this is barely good news, Gamespy is crap.![]()
he does come across as an angry young man, but then with a name like Jihad what did you expect.!!!rp2000 said:Why are you always so angry when there is any good news or information about the PS3?

On you rig it will look better, but I'm sure that on the average PC gamers rig it will be about on par.Jihad said:PC version will obviously look better, I don't think that really needs to be clarified.
But they didn't say average PC rig.Joebob said:On you rig it will look better, but I'm sure that on the average PC gamers rig it will be about on par.

UT3 is going to be using Directx10 so I pretty much can say it.wannabedamned said:Anyways, If unreal does look just as good as the PC, Surely thats a good thing, and you cant say it wont till we see it right?
alright smartypants - I think they are talking about like for like though so probably running 1024 x 768 on PC and 720p on PS3.Jihad said:UT3 is going to be using Directx10 so I pretty much can say it.
Plus you can force extra levels of AA on the PC version and have higher resolutions than 720P it's pretty much guaranteed.
1024x768 on PC with everything else maxed would still look better than 720P though, unless 1024x768 would be blurry which it probably would be on a modern monitor, ain't used that in ages.Joebob said:alright smartypants - I think they are talking about like for like though so probably running 1024 x 768 on PC and 720p on PS3.
Also because of all the variables with PC's you have to talk averages or we would be running multiple comparisons all the time.
and what the hell has it running on DX10 on PC got to do with how it will look on the PS3?

Well...wannabedamned said:But I dont understand the DX10 comment either.. Surely its like comparing an Orange to an Ducati racing Bike?

True, but you don't buy a PC and just get a gaming rig or movie player, you can do tons more.Inoshishi said:But to get it looking amazing and running smoothly your going to need to spend a lot more than £400 on a PC, Infact you'd probably need £400 just for the graphics card alone.

My PC could probably run it well and this only set me back about £920 custom built with a monitor and I do much more than just gaming and movies.
Knew that was going to come up, still it's not a replacement for a PC really.Inoshishi said:Not much though, when you can install Linux on the PS3 it certainly can do quite a bit.
I'm expectin g to get at least 5-6 years worth of gaming from my PS3. I doubt I will get another 1-2 years worth from my PC with a 7950 GTX in it before it wont run th elatest games.Jihad said:True, but you don't buy a PC and just get a gaming rig or movie player, you can do tons more.

Well you can compare what you can do on each of the platforms which is why I don't mind spending lots on a PC.Joebob said:I have alwasy been more of a PC gamer than console but you can't compare the two cost wise or PC will always lose.
