Midway and Epic today announced the minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3, the highly anticipated first-person shooter scheduled for release in November 2007. Please see below for all information regarding these requirements along with newly released screenshots from the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3.

Minimum System Requirements

• Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista
• 2.0+ GHZ Single Core Processor
• 512 Mbytes of System RAM
• NVIDIA 6200+ or ATI Radeon 9600+ Video Card
• 8 GB of Free Hard Drive Space

Recommended System Requirements

• 2.4+ GHZ Dual Core Processor
• 1 GBytes of System RAM
• NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI x1300+ Video Card
• 8 GB of Free Hard Drive Space

Pretty damn low recommended requirements imo. I should be able to play it pretty well then :)

• NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI x1300+ Video Card

that bit seems a little odd, is an x1300 actually anywhere near the power of a 7800GTX? i thought an x1300 was the bottom of the barral on the x#### range

but anyway no matter, all high for moi :D

Is there an actual confirmed release date for UT3? I thought it was November 16th for Europe but some sites seem to say otherwise. A site named after a certain river says the 30th of Nov.

Thats what i thought too. I thought if anything it should be the x1800 or something. Oh well :D

Recommended 2.4Ghz Dual Core CPU?

So they dont recommend, say, an E6300?

Unless they're talking about a 2.4Ghz Pentium D rather than a Core 2 Duo model?
As the C2D would probably out perform the Pentium D... no?

Processor specs on PC Games are always dodgey... you never do know what they mean.

Going by the min spec for the 3 previous UT games, I'm pretty sure they mean a 2Ghz Pentium 4 as a minimum, and 2.4Ghz Pentium D recommended.

I would take that "Recommended 2.4GHz Dual Core CPU" with a pinch of salt. The E6300 will be able to run it fine. A Pentium D at 2.4Ghz is slower than a C2D E6300 at stock im pretty sure.
