Unreal Tournament III System Requirements Released!

ASUSTeK Computer INC. K8U-X AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ 2.20GHz 512MB DDR-SDRAM NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS with 512 memory (AGP)

I am good with everything accept I still have window 2000 pro. I have another 512 meg ram stick coming, I should have got xp to I see.

I think the specs will be pretty spot on to run the game.

Remember the first UT? It didn't even require a 3D card to play and could run on a 166mhz which was quite low end at the time (500/600mhz mid-top range)

I'd say bloat those figures by about 30%, and that's your real recommended requirements.

I can't see that being the case to be honest. Epic have always made graphics engines for Unreal games that look gorgeous and only require modest hardware.

MOH:A and Frontlines: Fuel of War both run on the Unreal 3 engine iirc so would be a good indication as to how well your rig would cope with UT3

Oh noes! dont think it will run on my rig :(.

lol j/k but those recommended specs do seem suspiciously low.

Apparently they had it running at 300fps on an sli dell (88sli). So we should see some monster scores.

Recommended 2.4Ghz Dual Core CPU?

So they dont recommend, say, an E6300?

nah

they'll be referring to a dual core pentium

i cant remember what game it was, but one of them flagged up that my C2D e6600 might not be enough for them as it was only clocked at 2.4ghz

could have been Company of Hereos ?

anyway i laughed and proceeded to turn all the settings up to max :D

Yea same thing happened with me in Lost Coast. It says it needs 2.9GHz recommended (odd number i know), but my E4300 is at 2.8GHz. Ran smooth as butter.

Refridgerated or left on top of the grill cover? Butters not generally all THAT smooth :p

i rekon the recommended specs are more to being the minimum specs. then again, its gonna be interesting to see how things turn out.
