. Why does my browser not show the payment site to be secure?
Once you enter the payment section of the site you are entering a secure area. The site uses a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) with 128 bit MD5 encryption. This is the industry standard for encrypting e-commerce transactions. The reason that your web browser may not show that the page is secure is because the site uses something called a 'frameset'. This means that the top part of the page (with the Audiojelly Music Player in it) is a separate file to the bottom part of the page. The result of this is that some browsers don't notice that you are visiting other pages other than the starting page - you can see this in the browser address bar. If the address is '
http://www.audiojelly.com' and doesn't change at all no matter what page you go to within the audiojelly site then your browser believes that you are solely on the audiojelly.com start page. As a result when you go to the payment area of the site although the page you're on is encrypted and secure your web browser doesn't see this.
If you are still worried about the page being unsecured then you can move out of the site's frameset by opening a link within the site in a new browser window or tab (right-click on the 'view basket' link and select 'open in new window' or middle-click on the link). Now when you go to the payment area you will see that it is indeed secure and encrypted.
