'Unsigned/Unknown Bands'

Cheers for that dude. We did have a myspace page but we kind of neglected it and forgot the password etc. We are gonna get it back together though as it seems more music orientated than facebook etc with more bands/promoters.

There's 3 demo tracks recorded and mastered in our own studio, as well as a live radio show we did a few months ago in Totnes on the site with more tracks coming when we get the time to sort them out.
 
I like it - however I don't know if it suits the scene in Barnstaple.

However, we also run some gigs up in London in Stockwell, and I know our friend that organises them likes the sort of music you are producing, some of it has a nice Ska feel to it also - which i'm always a fan of!

Have you heard of a band Random Hand? Sortof Ska/Punk/Rock. I'd love to hear a brass section within your band!

Just unfortunate that it isn't to the taste of the scene around here and to what we usually put on - I'll still send them across and see if we can setup a night, there's a few local bands around here that you'd suit a night with :)

If there ever is a night up your way that you think that we'd fit into chuck us an email and we'd be more than happy to do it as long as we're free. Likewise with anywhere outside of Devon.

Similarly if you fire over an email with your details to [email protected] if we're looking for bands for support etc we'll give you a shout and see if you can hook us up with anybody similar :D

I've stumbled across that before, it's a bit too much for my liking personally :), but I know a fair few people that are really into it!

And yeah - Crystal Castles have sortof hit mainstream within certain 'groups'. Just I don't think they've been in the charts, so it's not a name everyone knows.

Still can't understand why you havent been signed fella, the cover band were in at the moment, is starting to write a new album, it should be pretty epic, we've all been writing music for years, so theres some pretty strong stuff in the works. im a bit excited.

Cheers dude. We were signed but now we're looking to move on and record a new record elsewhere.
 
I've posted about em on this board before.

I'm currently going to see a local Manchester (well Macclesfield) band called The VirginMarys whenever I get a chance.

AFAIK they are unsigned, but I have no idea why, their album is very good imo, but its their live act that blows me away. I've seen quite a few of the supposed best live and they are up with them.

I really hope they get bigger than they are, so I can see them in larger venues too ;)
 
Without any shadow of a doubt, the best band I've heard recently is the Martin Harley Band. I heard about them via sheer coincidence when I was asked to support them, checked them out and was like "WOW :eek:". Finally getting asked to play a decent gig. :p


 
I have heard both Boxer Rebellion and Martin Harley band, both are great!

I also saw Martin Harley Band at a recent festival I was at, and the bass player looks exactly like Rick Astley!
