Updated Intel Raid Driver???, Which One?

Im about to install a Raid 0 setup on my PC, whats the latest Intel Raid driver i need for during the Vista 64 setup, rather than installing the out of date?, drivers that are on the Vista Ultimate DVD? There are aloads of Raid controller drivers on the Intel site.....

Thought the driver i need would just be named, 'ICH8R/ICH9R SATA RAID....' but its not. Any help

The RAID controllers in your pic are hardware controllers, while yours is onboard RAID which is part of the Intel Southbridge. The file above is the correct package and driver for your PC.

Isnt that files for installation once Vista has been installed though, im after the driver than can be installed at the start of the vista setup. Or do i not need to do both and just used the Matrix one?

Download 8.6.0.1007, it contains 32/64bit drivers to use at time of install + Intel Matrix Storage Manager software, that you install when desktop appears, after installing 9.1.0.1007 WHQL first..

So install Matrix Storage manager and then 9.1.0.1007 WHQL in Vista??

Install both in Vista after desktop appears immediately after install, but install Intel chipset drivers (9.1.0.1007) first, then reboot, and then install Intel Matrix Storage Manager, rebooting again, then install all your other drivers/programs....
