The CPU is certainly starting to struggle on some games like Planet Coaster, AC Origins, The Universim, X4 Foundations etc.
Is it worth upgrading the CPU, motherboard, Ram? Wait? What kind of options are there currently? Budget irrelevant, but would still like decent bang to buck.
Oh, and I can't be faffed with overclocking anymore, but do have space for a triple radiator. So either a strong stock CPU I guess or one pre-overclocked by OcUK?
I can tell you that game likes cores. Performance fixes with 2.6Beta4, allow the game to stretch to 10 cores (cores not threads) pushing them to 70-80% easily on my 3900X and more perf improvements to come as currently the game supports 16 core CPUs.
