Hi all,

My son has an Acer laptop with a 128GB SSD drive which he has filled up. Can anyone recommend a good size upgrade (preferably to 512GB)?

I have looked, but am confused by the different types. His says it's an M2? Does this need to be replaced with another M2 type?

This is the code for his: KINGSTON RBUSNS8180DS3128GH

Would this one be suitable?

Many thanks!

The existing drive is an M2 drive in size but is SATA interface not NVME. The replacement drive you've linked to is M2 format but NVME so may not work.

What is the model number of his laptop? It may not support NVME M2 drives if it came with a SATA M2

There's an NVME WD Blue, the OP has linked to it. Or is it the 3D that means it's SATA? The NVME blues use 3D NAND too but doesnt have it in the model name.

WD really could do with sorting their branding out.
That 3D in product name itself is differentiator for SATA.
SN followed by numbers become part of product name with NVMe/PCIe drives.

Anyway speed specs are instant giveaway.
