Upgrade GFX card

People keep saying that, but the benchmarks don't support it.

Well I'm not speaking from a benchmarking PoV, I just know that I like to mod skyrim heavily, and when I hit the 3GB limit on my 780s, the game would become 1fps, without fail, every single time.

When I upgraded to 980s, I see usage of around 3.7GB and the game runs smoothly.

It does though Frank; specially if you look at later drivers. You have users telling you happens......

That is hearsay vs actual benchmarks. People saying things is not more accurate than results obtained from testing scenarios.

Stop saying it is going to be better at higher resolutions because 1) you have no results to support this and 2) neither card is suited for high resolution gameplay.

Dude I posted benches that actually do prove 390 at 1440 is faster; seriously. We get you love Nvidia......but 970 is not better card than the 390.....

390 is cheaper; long term better driver support; better DX 12 support with A Sync engine; better memory configuration......*users here that have owned the card; tell you exactly what happens when you go over the 3.5/.5 limit* no limit on 390. Their performance at 1080p pretty much a wash.

Only looses one bench at 1440p but we're making it up

http://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/1984-amd-r9-390-380-benchmark-review/Page-2

again only looses one bench here at 1440p - with old drivers

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-amd-radeon-r9-390-8gb-review

Here it doesn't loose any.

Now can we drop this? 390 for the price is the better card.....:)

THANK YOU!

This is literally all I have been asking for the entire time haha

Agreed, at higher resolutions the 390 distinctly has the edge and with the PowerColor card on offer it is a no-brainer, all I wanted was for people to support what they were saying with proof :p

As for liking nVidia, I really have no strong feelings... I have nVidia cards at the moment, that is all.

I was actually the one that supported the Radeon software in the first place in this thread until people started saying they preferred GeForce haha

Also I think AMD have done such a better job at innovating with their cards recently and they have a much better range of performance and prices at the moment too :)
