Your not missing anything, but the PSU will be needing a change as well for a pair of them.
Done some research. 6870 is a bad card for WOT.

I would dig deep and get a GTX570.

Been looking at them, but the 560ti is just better than a gtx460 and due to that screen shot, i would be happy as he see's min 40fps 
The card is upside down, you only see its arse and the side
why do they do that?! they make a lovely design and add fancy coolers and fans for a card what goes in upside-down!!!

I never understood this either. I *think* if you get a decent case the mobo is mounted the other way or something. So the fans sit on top. Seen it in murder mod cases

There use to be BTX cases (google it) that will show the cards the right way up.
I just sold a Lian Li V1000 on the MM that has that orientation too.
As for your GPU dilemma, why is the ATI card no good for WOT? I think it's better value, but also having used a GTX 570 and HD 5870 today, the nvidia card is better made if that counts for anything.

It means a GTX560 is roughly 13% faster than a GTX460 when everything is averaged out, but look at the resolution you use to see the exact difference.
If you can find an overclocked GTX560 (like in green) then its close to a GTX560ti.
