Upgrade thread, just final thoughts.

Probably didnt read the earlier thing.

Either way if i go for the Asus with its HUGE card, then SLI would be difficult anyway, probably rather just stick with single cards, though i dunno.

i meant more vram than the card the op was originally planning. sorry should have made that clear. long day at work......

im also a single card guy, dont really like 2 gpu setups even though u get better performance but hey that is just my taste. but you do get a lot better performance ill give it credit where its due but its not for me.

Well that review shows there to be more VRM's on the ASUS,

It has 8 VRMS and a few GTX580 power parts also (the review doesn't mention quality)

The Gigabyte has 4+2 VRMs the pcb has the 2oz copper that high end Gigabyte parts employ.

Theres a few advantages to the Gigabyte, namely a UK based RMA center with approximately 5 day turn around.

Its also nearly £20 more again, remember you were looking at a £190 GFX initially.

True, though that was with the fatter SDD.

Hmm, frankly ill just fall back on my original idea, then see how good next gen cards are, that way ill have a better SDD.

Made my decision, i guess.
