Upgrade time CPU is getting dated

I did say that a i5 wasn't a worthwhile upgrade from your i3. At least the temps are good. Go into the bios and enable MCE (Multi Core Enhancement) which may fix your all core speed to 4.1Ghz instead of just a single core (not sure if this works on locked cpu's but it's worth a try) and then do some gaming and see if you are maxxing the cpu out still.

Tests on HardOCP indicated that the minimum GPU for VR was the GTX 1070 - one model above yours - as lesser GPUs had significant reprojection rates. For a current GPU that would be the RTX 2060S or the Radeon 5700XT. Obviuosly the more powerful the GPU the better.
