Upgrade time.

Hey all,

I have decided to upgrade from my rather old Intel E4500 and 2gb of RAM

My motherboards a Asus P5Q.

I'm currently looking at the Intel Q9450, Q6700 or spending a bit more on the Q9550.. Any suggestions?.

As for RAM i'm finding OCUK's DDR2 stock rather limited. Could someone recommend me some?

Thanks Kenny, Looks good. Would you say i would notice a difference between the 9450 and the 9550? If it's only a small increase i will probably go for the 9450

Depends what your using it for and wether or not you overclock.
Internet/office/games you probably wont notice the difference too much depending on the GPU.
CAD/rendering/encoding its noticeable.

The sunbeam is a great cooler, who knows how that new ACF7 will perform. I would stick with the Sunbeam.

just means it wont come with a stock cooler.

Well then the 9450 is right for you, coupled with a good cooler you can get a good solid overclock.
