Hi I have a Nvidia 8800 gts 640mb

with 4 gigs Corsair DDR2 XMS2 DHX PC2-6400C4DHX

and a core 2 duo 8500 @ stock.

I play at 1680@1050 Cod 4 and Wow mostly

really? Surely not.. sure I don't manage anywhere near that with my 8800GTX

I'd have thought something is dodgy with your setup then. I've had no problems with my 8800GTS640 when I've tested it at that sort of res/settings (shame I can't do that all the time)

maybe it does? I dunno, never measured it!

I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to gfx power (always have been since I got my 24") so I always run at 1680x1050 (I find that easier on my eyes) I run full details and normally 4x aa..

Its entirely possible I'm pulling well over 100fps and not noticing.

cod4 max details everything on 4aa 16af 125fps constant at your res. [1680@1050 ]

4850 should manage a constant 80 at least so yes is the answer to the question
