Upgrade

I have

E6420 @ 3.2ghz
2gb pc6400
7900gtx

is it worth upgrading to Q6600 and 8800GTS 640

or 8800 GTX and another 2gb of ram and keep current cpu?

Answers guys got £400.

Just ain't sure i have asked this afore.

if you have vista 8800 GTX and another 2gb, but if not just the 8800GTX

I'd agree with Stelly although it might depend to a slight amount on what your current monitor size is and what you mainly use your PC for?

19inch TFT but hopefully upgrading soon, i play loads a games and hopefully playing the upcoming.

2900, nah go with a 8800GTX faster... also no need for a Q6600 as the CPU you have will last you untill next year at least where you can get Nehalem...

I don't really see the point of going quad core yet. Get a kickass gfx card if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, especially if gaming is what you do most.

or better still, buy me a gfx card!
