Yeh like you do have to push down on those plastic plugs and then when it is in place you then have to turn the head so that the bayonet clip latches in place to keep in locked in tight but I know that so I am sure OCuk system builders will know too! I am just gutted pal and my kids are too!
The Asaka nero heatsink is really big too and heavy to hang off the board like that, as I say I will probebly ask them to just leave it in the box next time so it does not happen again!
I'd say it was just dismounted by the forces the rig encountered during transit. The Intel pushpins aren't really the most secure form of mounting - combine that with a heavy heatsink at a 90-degree angle to the mobo and that's what you get if the box is bashed about. I guess it's been bouncing around inside the case and has damaged the GPU or something else.
IMO it's not a good idea for OcUK to send out rigs with pushpin coolers pre-attached. If the rig's coming with a heatsink fitted then it should be a model that screws through the motherboard.
