Upgradeing from a X1800XTPE ??? what card should i buy ?

I got a funny feeling that those benchmarks are being run on a cpu thats seriously bottlenecking that card....

i have a 2.65ghz dualcore cpu x2 4400+, i dont think this cpu will bottle neck it.

If you've got money to burn, then forget the dual core to single core downgrade, and get one of those nice new Conroes in a couple of weeks

I think the E6600 looks like a good buy

There isn't a CPU in existence that doesn't bottleneck everything else in Oblivion. Even Conroe, though it gives a +50% minimum FPS, still bottlenecks X1800/X1900 and 7800/7900 graphics cards at those resolutions.

If you really needed to spend £400, you should've pre-ordered a Conroe, motherboard, and DDR2 RAM.

Oh and, crysis is on dx9 aswell

And yes, a TOTAL waste of money.

from the looks of the shader usage and the water too, plus the bump mapping, i would make a bet and say crysis under dx9 will look nothing like the true dx10 version...
