Upgradeing my PC need help from the experts

I know the OCZ ssd drive is good as i have one.

Would it not be better for umboma to get the Crucial C300, as this this has a higher read speed and seeing as you will not write much to the drive surely this is more important.

Sorry for throwing this into the mix as you have been speced a very good bundle, but was wondering why it had not been suggested.

By all means, the more ppl that talk in this thread the better I've gained so much knowledge the last few days from asking everybody here questions.

OK everybody after staying up till 3 in the morning i've come up with this:

Gainward GeForce GTX 470 "Golden Golden Sample GOOD Edition" 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with MAFIA 2

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor with FREE Lost Planet 2 PC Game - Retail
MSI P67A-GD65 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge)
OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive (OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G)
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-00599)
Antec TruePower New Modular 650W Power Supply
GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler
Arctic Cooling MX-3 Thermal Compound ,

I know I said i didnt want SLI but I cant help it now I kinda want it, only problem is will the power supply hold up to all this, the only down side is I've gone from £500 max to almost £950, and cannot really spend anymore on a better power supply

If you are planning on running two GTX 470s in SLI - based on this chart (specifically the "Load Power Consumption with Furmark") I would go with a 750W PSU. With this in mind I would go with this one. Its actually £1.50 cheaper than the antec (although not modular), but it still gets a good write up. If you can afford it, the £80 850W version will give you more headroom.

The Gainward GTX 470 GOOD looks like a nice one.

I would like a Modular power supply it makes the cables a lot neater better airflo and all..

It may be worth pointing out that with a SB system and two GTX 470 cards - even with a modular PSU you will be using almost all of the available cables anyway. Therefore one of the main benefits of getting a modular PSU is bypassed.

Hence you may want to go for the non-modular xfx 750w - and the price is better (sorry, meant to link to this one earlier). Here is a review.

Thats a very good point I never thought about that, and I have got a blu-ray drive, and 2 dvd burners, with the SDD and 1tb as you said I doubt there will be many cables left oh and the 2 GTX 470s

Did you buy a second kit or did you buy a 2x4GB kit like this?

If you are going for 8GB total, I strongly suggest you go for a 2x4GB kit, as a four memory modules puts much more strain on the memory controller than two.

No I brought 4x2 modules, do you think it's tolate to ring them and ask then to change it??

I've looked into it and 2x 4gb modules are quite a lot more expensive and I've reashed my budget for this month, I'll have to change the ram at a later date, I'm also building up slowly the family computer so I can always reuse the ram that I'm buying now.
