Hey OCUK

I'm finally upgrading my i7 860 to Haswell next week when I get paid. I have a budget of around £900-£950. At the moment I have:

ASUS P7P55D Evo
i7 860 @ 2.8GHz
8GB DDR3 2133MHz
HIS IceQ 7970
Various HDDs
Corsair 500r

I'm after a CPU, Motherboard, giant SSD and PSU. I've already decided on the 4770K + h100i bundle- that's £365 or so.

I like the look of the ASUS Sabretooth for around £200. Is there a better high end motherboard for this price? Has to be ATX, support 2 GPUs, not be a bright colour, like overclocking...

I like the look of the Samsung 840 512GB Basic. Is there a better 512GB SSD for this price?

The PSU has to be modular and be sufficient for two 7970s. And no short cables! The only one that catches my eye is the Corsair Builder Series CX 750 Modular jobbie- http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-118-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2597

Cheers!

Better quality PSU, and you may have to wait a little while for the SSD (They just went on pre-order today)

I'm guessing that you don't need any RAM

If you wanted to save a little money you could get one of the referb H100 coolers for £40

_______________
• UD3H is still a great board, but at a much lower price
• Refurb H100 + SP120 fans will be just as good as if not better than a H100i
• Great PSU, and it's even on offer atm!

If you don't want to wait for the 840 EVO to come in stock you could subsitute it with something like this:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Crucial M500 480GB SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive - (CT480M500SSD1) £299.99
Total : £307.73 (includes shipping : £6.45).

Thanks for the suggestions! Any idea when the Samsung evo will be dispatched? A couple of you have specced the Sabretooth- I'm assuming it is pretty good? What am I missing out on if I go for the gigabyte board?

Only things you're missing out on really with the Sabertooth is the fancy heatshield and the 5 year warranty, however Gigabyte have a UK based RMA, so if something ever does go wrong you won't be left without a motherboard for very long ;) (Asus RMA is in Czech Republic iirc).

And in regards to the ETA on the EVO drives:

Oops, I over estimated my budget a bit- I've got £800 to play with. I'll skip the power supply for now and stick with my current one, and get a sli able one later. Is it Still possible to get a 4770K h100i, overclocking mobo and 512GB SSD for £800?
