Hey OCUK
I'm finally upgrading my i7 860 to Haswell next week when I get paid. I have a budget of around £900-£950. At the moment I have:
ASUS P7P55D Evo
i7 860 @ 2.8GHz
8GB DDR3 2133MHz
HIS IceQ 7970
Various HDDs
Corsair 500r
I'm after a CPU, Motherboard, giant SSD and PSU. I've already decided on the 4770K + h100i bundle- that's £365 or so.
I like the look of the ASUS Sabretooth for around £200. Is there a better high end motherboard for this price? Has to be ATX, support 2 GPUs, not be a bright colour, like overclocking...
I like the look of the Samsung 840 512GB Basic. Is there a better 512GB SSD for this price?
The PSU has to be modular and be sufficient for two 7970s. And no short cables! The only one that catches my eye is the Corsair Builder Series CX 750 Modular jobbie- http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-118-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2597
Cheers!
