ok, thanks sharlaw.

EDIT: Just wondering if anyone could spec me the following:

(for gaming, along with my 4850)

A decent processor
A decent motherboard
4GB Ram
Decent PSU

For around £350? possible? my budget is a bit flexible

how is the Tri core for performance? i'm a nooby overclocker so would probably be running it on stock speeds, with a 4850 would it run all modern games to a decent standard?

Yeah it would, i used to have the 4850. One of the best cards for the price. although if you're looking to play games at a high resolution then the Gainward GTX 260 is the way foward.

4850 is fine at 1280x1024 or lower resolution if you game higher then pay a bit extra and get a 4870 (very cheap for the performance at the min).
