I currently have a Seasonic M12D 750W, and think I'm right at the edge of its use, at least I believe so, as I'm getting a few issues popping up when I connect things to USB ports on the comp, saying they aren't running at the correct speeds - have updated usb ports on the mobo and so on.
Current system is -
Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail - Running at 4.5GHz
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CT128M4SSD2)
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (WD5000AAKX)
MSI ATI Radeon HD 6970 2048MB Twin Frozr III GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) [CML8GX3M2A1600C9] - 16gb of.
Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366/LGA1156/LGA1155/LGA775/AM2/AM2)
Blu-ray drive, DVD-RW and a load of other fans.
Currently connected to USB is an old logitech G15 keyboard, a G5 mouse and a Zune dock.
I've done the PSU calculator thing and its coming up at around 650w. That's obviously not taking into consideration the extra power draw from the graphics card, so, to me atleast it looks like its pretty much on the limit.
So, I'm thinking it needs an upgrade, but I'm not sure what. The Seasonic has been excellent, but sourcing an actual Seasonic PSU is nigh on impossible it seems, however I believe they do make PSU's for a few other brands, XFX?
What would be the recommended PSU in my situation?
