I'm looking at upgrading to an SSD - all this talk about Crucials has just about convinced me - but have a question about upgrading rather than clean build.
I have a Windows 7 RTM machine which I'd rather not re-install from scratch. I know I could install the SSD, create a mirror from the current System drive, remove the current System drive and then break the mirror but...
... would that that ensure that the various SSD specific settings such as defrag are correct for the SSD or would the need setting manually - and if so is there a comprehensive guide for Windows 7 and SSDs out there yet?
Any thoughts or ideas?
thx
