Uploadit.org Gone?

Down for me as well at the moment.

It must be working to some extent as I can see duplicate images in ANDARIAL's signature in post #9 above (but now I can't).

Nameserver trace for www.uploadit.org:


  • Looking for who is responsible for root zone and followed b.root-servers.net.
  • Looking for who is responsible for org and followed d0.org.afilias-nst.org.
  • Looking for who is responsible for uploadit.org and followed ns1.proxy95.com.
Nameservers for www.uploadit.org:


  • ns1.proxy95.com returned (SERVFAIL)
  • ns2.proxy95.com returned (SERVFAIL)
 
This is currently up for me using the direct IP 78.47.91.138

Grab your stuff while you can just incase.. I hope they do get it fixed and up again though.
 
Someone posted a link to this thread on my Facebook wall. I'm really sad to see UploadIt.org go down. I launched the site in 2004 and sold it in 2005 with nearly 10,000 users for a not inconsiderable amount of money. It's changed hands a few times since then.

I'm not sure if there's much I can do but feel free to give me a shout.

I might possibly have just discovered something. My forum signature has always been hosted on uploadit. I took a quick look at the url and it seems they are down due to hackers.

feel free to check premium1.uploadit.org for details but I'm not responsible if your pc melts :D
(nah it seems fine, just a crap leet hacker page).

Aye, I remember using it because of you, was far better than imageshack/photobucket at the time, still was in terms of loading speeds.

bugger wish I'd seen this sooner, anyone got any idea on any other route to get to my photos? the IP above is dead :(
 
You guys may want to consider getting some hosting.

It's dirt cheap these days (Under £20 for a whole year) and they do backups every day. Plus it's much faster for everyone!
 
What do you think guys, is there any hope of ever getting my pictures back? I have been using uploadit.org since it started in 2004. I have a lot of pictures on there that I would like to retrieve!!

I guess I'll just keep this post updated from time to time to keep google searches current so the owner might see and come and comment :)
