Delivery was due today between 9-7pm, waited till 5pm, phoned them up and they said it will be here by end of day. Looked again at 7pm on their tracking screen, now due tomorrow by end of day. Wasted an entire day of doing nothing and tomorrow looks to be the same. Tomorrow I've got things to do and someone else will have to stay behind and keep a look out

All they could say is " Oh it's just a day delay "

Rage

See with couriers, I just go out. I don't care anymore. The tracking is usually inaccurate, so why waste your day. Just go out, and go and collect the parcel from the depot. It's just easier. (Though, if you don't drive and the depot is a fair distance I feel your anguish).

Or, do the even more sensible thing and get it delivered to your work.

Frustrating if you've stayed in all day. But I just get them delivered to work now. Much less hassle. If I think it may get delivered on a Saturday then I might get it delivered to home instead.

UPS yesterday delivered a parcel addressed to me to someone who signed under the name Young and gave their address as flat 13 in our block. However, afaik there is nobody called Young here and there is deffo no Flat 13.

They've pretty much ruined my day, I was going to go out with a family member. Instead I've had that family member who has a disorder screaming at me because they are lost, if I had gone with them this would not have happened.

Never again :(

Everyone should use dpd. Online tracking with estimated time slots and choice of safe place etc. Just whish every shop offered dpd I wouldn't care if it's a bit more expensive.

Never again? You'll never order anything for delivery again? You are a dramatic thing aren't you?

They still fail deliveries. All couriers do.

It's not even in the same league as the others.
Especially if younsekect safe place, then they will come to you as they are guaranteed to off lad it.

I was just reading their community page, wow so much anger directed at the company. Surprised it's still in business

This seems the other circumstances have exacerbated the situation.

Pretty much, mum has a personality disorder and well it didn't turn out well.

If they just delivered on the day it was due, none of this would've happened

Oh well such is life

Indeed and I know not everyone seems to have as good experience with DPD but they've been excellent for me and the features for tracking, etc. leave the rest in the dust.

Was working on a project with a friend recently which involved quite a lot of deliveries over 2-3 weeks and DPD managed to get every single one delivered on time on the right day the other couriers managed it maybe 30% of the time with most coming 2-4 days late and a couple of parcels never turned up at all.

I am now talking to UPS directly, lets see what they have to say ;)

But yeh in future i'll stick with DPD ( ps this delivery today was not organised by me, it was a purchase in mm ). Not the sellers fault, useless couriers :)

How much does DPD usually charge for £100-£200 insured items in delivery? I know Royal Mail are very expensive
