I thought it was at it's lowest point some time ago? This is just standard Chris affair at this stage. If he didn't attempt to be the slimiest creature on the forums at least three times a week, he wouldn't be happy.

It was more a comment on the ridiculousness and hilarity of the way he is being protest more than anything else. It's not like a bit of lace hung around the room will do anything to this guys reputation or embarrass the way the media has been reacting.
 
I suspect his main crime is being an elderly white Conservative, so rampant and specious comments about his looks and sexual deviances abound immediately. Keith Vaz, a true alleged criminal pervert, with potential security issues attached to his alleged peccadilloes, received none of this hysteria. But of course he's "unwell" and "recuperating" on his many foreign trips....Essentially off the hook it seems.

Most people who paid any interest at all to politics 2 years ago knew who Keith Vazz was and (Tory supporter or otherwise) think he's dodged a bullet that he should have taken.

Skin colours got nothing to do with it. It's simply that News is most relevant to people when it's, you know, new...

Then there's the fact that it's generally considered NOT OK to encroach upon a women's personal space, regardless of what she's wearing, as odd as that might sound to you mate.

Not defending those here who are openly mocking him about his appearance by the way, that's just idiotic and petulant, especially given this mans political history. If you can't find anything to mock there instead, well...

From reading the article he states his reason is that bills are not being debated as should be done.

If parliamentary procedure isn't being done right and his objection forces the correct path then surely that's a good thing.

I'm sure he's probably objected to other bills that don't involve women but that wouldnt sell newspapers now would it....
