Urban Dead (Browser based zombie apocalypse)

No he said combat revives = no no. Michael andrews was on about combat revives earlier so best ask him what the hell that means.

Combat revives are using syringes to revive active zeds to stop them being, well, zeds. The only problem with that is if they also have survivor skills and are zombie aligned characters they'll probably then just take us down from the inside.

Combat revives is when you revive a zed instead of shooting it. It didn't used to cost 10AP to revive so it was a quicker way to take a zed out. Of course you then end up with an irate survivor who PK's so it all gets out of hand :D

Grrrr! I was killed while I was offline. I wouldnt mind, but I was standing at a revive point, with several other surviors and a few zeds. I thought revive points were meant to be combat free areas >,<

Why on earth would you think that?! They're just points to go to in order to be revived. If you're caught outside as a survivor you're fair game to any hungry zed! :D

Cheers guys, knew it was something along those lines he said but was late last night when i saw it

Regarding combat revives - I was only recommending them on players who are listed as "Dual Natured", which means - when they're a zombie, they'll play like a zombie. But when they're a survivor, they'll play like a survivor.

So if you see a dual-natured zed and you have a syringe, revive him - removes a zed from play *and* gets us another survivor to help in the fight.

Random combat revives, on the other hand, are a bad idea, for the aforementioned reasons.

Look at the zed's profile. Several of the dual natured players list it as their group, so that's a good way to tell if it's safe to do a CR.

Just pumped you full of super juice :D

I don't have enough AP to get down to you and revive, could you shuffle up towards us a bit :)

hey, I still need a revive, got some AP now.

I'll shuffle my zombie self up towards/into Darvall some more, but I also need to be careful with my AP, don't want to be revived and stuck outside, what building should I be heading for? (No free running, so need VSB or lighter nearby?)

I have no idea what's remotely safe and what isn't to be honest :P.

Huuuge battle in Look Road, Shuttlebank.

About 15-20 survivors squaring up to 12 or so zombies, i'm hiding in a building nearby to get some AP back before getting involved again :D

When revived you will slump to the ground, so can wait until you have enough AP to stand up and then move again :)

Ah okay that sounds good, thank you.

I'm now outside St Matheos hospital in Darvall heights. Out of AP, revive would be appreciated some time <3.

Raventu - when you're comfortably earning XP as a Survivor (i.e., you have the weapons skills or healing skills you plan on using to level up), you might want to set aside some XP for the Zombie skills Ankle Grab and Lurching Gait. They make the trip from being zombie lunch to getting revived a lot easier and less AP-intensive.

Regarding revive points - no, revive points in general are NOT safe zones. However, Churches and Cemeteries (and a few specific spots in Malton) *are* supposed to be safe zones - via the Religious Respect and Sacred Ground policies. With that said, not every group follows those policies (especially these days), so resting at one is a risk. Whether it's worth taking or not depends on how many APs you have left and what your other options are.

A side note - generally, I wouldn't recommend waiting for a revive right outside a powered, survivor-held building. There's a good chance a survivor wandering by (or on his way in to safety) might think you've been attacking the barricades, and will re-kill you.

Thanks for the advice, I looked at those Zombie skills and I will get them, when I'm collecting a little more XP of course ;).

I figured it wasn't a good place to be, but I had ran out of AP.
I've moved along a few places to Doon Avenue. To be really honest, if I get killed again here it doesn't matter so much (as long as I get a revive after that! hehe). I need to give it the night to regen a substantial amount of AP and begin afresh my quest to gain some XP tomorrow.

Keep in mind that you can only be revived if you're standing up. If some survivor kills you, you'll be a dead body again. With that said, as long as you're on the computer I'd recommend checking in every now and then to see if you've been revived or killed, or are just still swaying in the breeze.
