Urban Dead (Browser based zombie apocalypse)

Wish you'd said something sooner, Craig - my other character is still in Darvall and has several syringes.

Vaboydom - go for Hand to Hand Combat. That'll max out your accuracy with your axe. After that, I'd say Free Running, which will enable you to move from the inside of one building directly to the inside of a neighboring building without going outside. It's very important, because a lot of survivor strongholds are barricaded to the point where people can't get in.

Specific items are searchable in specific buildings. Look on here: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Main_Page

You'll want a Flak Jacket (police department) to protect you (somewhat) from PKers. Right now that's about all you need. You can find first-aid kits (FAKs) in Hospitals for healing. Don't bother with getting guns until you have Firearms Training and preferably a specific firearms skill. When fully trained, firearms are more accurate than the axe and deal more damage, but that's balanced by having to search for ammo. Whether you get them at all is entirely up to you.

Other important skills are Construction, so you can barricade buildings, and Body Building, which will give you 10 more HP.

How long until you get 100 XP on this!

Ive been roaming around on my own, dying, zombie'ing and then someone making me alive again. I hit zombies with my axe but thats like 10-15AP to get 1 hit, I went through Darvell Heights but didnt see many, but I cant get in barricaded buildings....

Dont really know what im doing, I have a book, a newspaper, a radio and some other junk but i never find much maybe 1 thing in 50 APs. Currently in somewhere called St Swithens Church.

You have to search in the right buildings to get specific items. Use the Urban Dead wiki to see what items are in what buildings.

You can gain XP from reading books, but it's a small chance and you don't get much.

what class are you? Firefighter?

I'm not sure, really - closest one I found was St. John's Church (28,19) in the southernmost block of Gatecombton (just north of Darvall) and almost all the way east to Shuttlebank.

EDIT: A zed just broke into Tarasius. I brought the 'cades back up to VSB, but that's all I had AP for.

Thanks for the help mate , i just hit level 2 but didn't see your post :( i ended up taking the Construction perk in the hope that if im travelling around alone i can atleast build up a barricade to protect myself , but i'll definately make free running and hand to hand my next proritys.

to the player asking about when will you hit 100xp i've been playing for maybe 3 days and just been staying close to my original strong hold and attacking zombies till i only have 10 ap left then heading back i think i have a an extra bonus for attacking though so i will get a few more hits with my AP than you but it shouldn't take to long.

Civilian with Basic Firearms Training is a cop, so you've already got a flak jacket. As far as what skills to get next - it depends on whether you want to spend time searching for ammo or not. If you don't mind the downtime it takes to do that, then go with Pistol Training and Advanced Pistol Training. If you want to go with melee while you're leveling, go for Hand-To-Hand Combat Training and Axe Proficiency, and get yourself a fire axe from a Fire station, factory, auto repair shop, or junkyard.

Again, Free Running is an important skill. So is Construction. If you want to heal people better, get Diagnosis so you can see who's injured and who isn't. NecroTech Employment is helpful to know where NT buildings are, but more importantly, it gets you access to the skill Lab Experience, which lets you revive people with syringes.

What you do to level is entirely up to you. You can get XP from attacking zombies, healing survivors, or tagging zombies with a DNA extractor. Don't attack other survivors unless you want to get tagged as a PKer - or unless you know for a fact they're a PKer.

Keep in mind, regarding firearms, a flak jacket will reduce Pistol damage from 5 to 4, Shotgun damage from 10 to 8, Flare gun damage from 15 to 12, and Flare gun damage on a fuel-soaked target from 30 to 24.
