URGENT PLEASE HELP

Try checking video card is seated correctly. But you might need a fresh install had this other day guy didnt know how to format or anythink his came up with black screen also. once formated and windows re installed it was perfect.

i dont even know how to format it without a screen lol im pretty sure it the bios/cmos

yes i am on bios now
i had to increase a voltage for my ram once
It would boot fine with 2gb but need more juice for 4gb can somebody tell me which voltage that is i have no idea
My ram default is on 816mhz which is definately wrong
my cpu has gone back to 2.4ghz its a q6600 but it used to be on 3.2ghz lol
im sorry i am clueless its an ABIT IP35 pro motherboard
Everytime i reset cmos i can get on bios but as i dont set it properly once i get to desktop and then restart for example i have to manually restart cmos again...

So it used to be overclocked?

Well i think you not only overclocked it, but fiddled with a setting that made it work before which was reset to its original default when you reset the CMOS. Figuring out what setting that was... well thats up to you :)

ahh so my operating system is at 3.2 but the cpu is at 2.4 is that what you mean? they are confused? SHould i try taking the battery out? or shal i just frshly instal windows 7

you can get the manufacturers rated specs from their website, tho you'll need to know the type you're using, they've got several types of DDR2. taking out the battery and completely clearing cmos back to default may be the best option. tho wait till some1 with more knowledge confirms.
if you've shorted the motherboard out against the case there could be any number of problems afaik

sorry couldnt be more help

stop resetting cmos, you're making it worse. you need to get the right ram settings in there and then leave it alone. we can't help you because these settings vary between different kinds of ram from different manufacturers - so we just dont know. there's quite often a sticker on the side of the ram telling you this.

Dont overclock it until you can run it without problems at stock speed (2.4ghz).

Make sure the RAM is in the correct slots.

Check around the bios for any settings that may be causing this.

Also maybe try leaving it when it dosent boot up because you just said the screen was on stand by which isnt the same as not booting. Leave it for a few mins and see if you hear the windows boot chime or if it does anything at all.

right now i am using the computer and its in working order therefore not motherboard~!!!!!!
however i know for fact once i turn it off it wont work properly unless i cmos restart which i will now stop doing so my options are:

cmos restart with removing batter
formatting altho will this solve my problems
updating bios?

please note i can only access bios if i cmos restart

is it showing a number or letters on the diagnostic led on the motherboard ? and if so what is it ?
what type of ram do you have installed ?

here is a link to the manual that i have uploaded for you - http://rapidshare.com/files/372844045/ip35-pro.zip.html

if the motherboard diagnostic led has CC on it then either the cmos clear jumper or the cmos clear switch beside the keyboard and mouse connector is still set in the cmos clear position, this sounds like what may be wrong.
