I think there was quite a lot of bias, the media painted Romney out as an inbred thicko similar to G W Bush, but hearing the man in the debates, he was far from a thicko.

They will never beat Bush v Gore's 200 election with 271 electoral vote win from a 537 votes margin in over 6millions votes cast in Florida.

That's close, last night is almost a landslide, seeing Romney only got 1 swing state out of 7.

Whilst a good thing for Americans (The republicans these days seem to be a remarkably intolerant bunch) I don't really see what major difference it will make to us. Their foreign policy is pretty much the same and their economic policy is driven more by external pressures than anything else.
