There are versions of this laptop where the socket in question is USB 3.0 (and would be blue).
On the cut down version that doesn’t have USB 3.0 they need a USB 2.0 socket to fit in the same location. The socket they’ve selected for this role probably just happens to look a bit different. Or maybe it looks different because it’s a USB 2.0 socket that’s designed to solder to the same pads as a USB 3.0 socket?
That's a good way of looking at it, the extra clip on the floor of the port is strange though aswell. It is almost as if it's intended to do something else other than USB,
