Usb 3.1 help

Hi, I have put my old pc into a new case. The new case has a usb 3.1 on front panel but my mobo only has 2.0 and 3.0. Is there an adapter I can use to make use of it (I don't mind it running at 2.0 speed). Thanks.

Just plug the USB 3.1 from the case to the USB 3.0 on the motherboard

I think I know what you mean. You need an InLine USB 3.1 to 3.0 adaptor. You can google the product code 4043718277414.

Not sure I have ever seen the above or if it is needed.

AFAIK USB 3.0 to 3.1 to 3.2 will be the same but there is two type of USB 3.0 connectors one being internal like on your Mobo and the other external like a female USB socket.

USB3.1 is same as USB3.
So is also USB3.2, because of marketing scammers keeping renaming it.

Only USB-C different.
For that you need something like this:

But remember that means having only one USB port in case instead of two:
USB3 header has wiring for two USB-A ports

If so, this PCIe expansion card looks like it should do the job (no idea about its performance though):
