I've got a HTC Sensation XE which won't connnect to any PC via USB.

Error message on windows is "USB Device Not Recognized", however the phone does charge up.

Tried "USB Debugging Mode" on the phone
Tried setting Default Connection Type as "Disk Drive"
Tried factory reset on the phone
Tried using a different USB lead
Tried using different USB ports
Running out of ideas to try..

Its a Pay Monthly o2, so if all else fails I'll take it into the shop, but I dont fancy having to pay to get it fixed :/

Had this with a phone last year, turns out another usb device was causing a conflict. Unplugged the other device and it connected and installed fine.

Hmm if HTC Sync doesn't work then I'd be worried that the phones USB port is knackered - you should have all the correct drivers if you've installed that and it sounds like you've pretty much exhausted every other avenue. You could try cleaning in there with a dry toothbrush and vacuum nozzle, or if you have an airline in your garage that might blast any fluff out.
