USB Drive write ptotection?

Obvious ways such as...
Suck as using google to follow cleatr instructions using a fairly sizeable different ways to recover from this issue, only to fail every single time.
So, rather than try any of the usual ways that it can be done, Iam wondering if there are any non-usual ways to unprotect it.
I truly think that I have done all the ways that I can find thgouh using google to do a huge number of searches over the last few months here and there... I think its been about a year on and off that I have looked and I am sure I have tried at least 6 different ways to do it, and I have done these ways in different ways too.
I am just sick to death of trying in all honesty, but I am now asking... I think for the 4th time on OCUK for help.
