USB HDD Enclosures - performance

I am getting a HDD enclosure for my WD Scorpio Black 320GB 7200prm 2.5" SATA drive and was wondering if the different USB enclosures offer different performance, because there must be something for the difference in price?

What do you think?

There will be next to no difference in performance between caddies.

Different caddies have different features/styling/materials which alter the price point.

I get about a straight 40mb/s with all USB enclosures I've used. A modern hard drive will always been limited by the speed of the USB connection (unless it's USB3).

Look for a caddy with esata if you faster speeds.
