Hi folks,
I've got a 64Gb USB pen drive here which was working fine until yesterday when all of a sudden while transferring some files to it from my desktop it slowed to a crawl and informed me it was going to take 7 hours to transfer a 2 mb PDF file.
I decided to reformat the drive which it did fine (used NTFS) and then when I tried transferring the files again it did the same, crawled to almost a halt. So I tried formatting it again but this time it told me that the disk was write protected. There's no write protect switch on it and I've tried the Registry hack which is floating about Google which solves the issue for some folk but no dice, still says its write protected. Anything else I can do with it before I just bin the silly thing?
