Use of indicators at an island?

Well you must drive in some very well trained and polite areas.

I said I've not noticed it, not that it doesn't happen.

Knowing you, I'd imagine that your problems relate to entering the roundabout too quickly. That and you probably started indicating left sooner than you think you did.

Knowing me?

You do not know me. I don't drive like a plank, especially on my commute to/from work. I only exercise the full rev range and capabilities of my car when it is suitable to do so...ie empty roads etc.

I enter them at low speed. In fact the two above mentioned occurrences I was stopped at the entrance due to traffic coming from my right. Once I moved off and was part way round the roundabouts (at the drawn positions and indicating correctly) people pulled out on me. As I also stated, if they pulled out due to me entering at speed and not judging my speed, then fair enough, but I did not. I was stationary, then moved off, they then got to their entrance, stopped, as I got to it, they pulled out.

preferably sideways for ultimate effect
:p

In all seriousness, I don't often have issues with people pulling out in front of me at roundabouts, but I do often notice people starting to join and then deciding to brake. I can only assume this is because they see a rather mean looking 5 Series going a little faster than they expected.
