use of the word "partner"

Lol Im 25 and use girlfriend and my girlfriend uses boyfriend.

But most of the time its not needed, I call her by her name and vice versa when introducing her. Normally people are smart enough to work it out for themselves.
 
I see not issues with "older" people using the term Partner!

Is is quite funny that Lord Sugar is saying that he's looking for a "Partner" in the apprentice however.
