This is one of the reasons I only buy used approved.
well could not wait until tuesday, i found this thread about the connectors getting corrosion on them.

took 5 mins to get to it and unplugged them and yes they had corrosion on them, sprayed and cleaned with contact cleaner and we now have one operational roof.
treated the rubbers with sonax as they were all a little dry.
will test the roof a lot over the next few days see if it behaves properly but looks ok at the moment.
will still get them to sort the airbag fault out.
