what a cop out :S

when i heard clubsport, i immediately visualised porsche 968 CS... i should have known better really iwht today's pansy cars

no, it really doesn't

Post of the year goes toooo! :p

Notice the IMO's all over my posts? In fact i've never liked the shape of the E38. Doesnt seem 'beefy' enough for me for the length it is.

How much do clubsports command over a 330Ci Sport? 1-2k?

One of my neighbours has an immaculate 330ci Clubsport in Estoril blue. It looks fantastic.

Congratulations :).

Thank you :)

Sorry no pics yet but they are coming soon, probably when the sun decides to come out!

When I stepped outside this morning, the colour still made my jaw drop. I know everyone has their own preferences but I wouldn't swap this colour for anything else.

The harmon kardon speakers sound awesome so I don't need to touch the sound system, its got a 6 cd changer in the boot. It also has angel eyes/headlights fitted, not sure if this is standard on the clubsports. Parking sensors, cruise control, aircon, and loads of other buttons which I still need to figure out exactly what they do :o

MOT is done until March 09 and the road tax is due at the end of august. Can someone please confirm the price of the road tax, I think it recently changed how they calculate the price?

It is currently £210 a year. Next year it will be circa £300 I think.

Angels are not standard and look a bit tacky on the E46, a car which never had them from the factory.

I do hope the reason you've not said anything about price isnt becuase you paid OTT :p

£300 a year tax from next year, probably. Depends on what the CO2 reading on your V5 says, it could be in the next band up which is £415/year.

Lol but its worth every penny. You were right it is over 5 years, works out I will pay just over 13.5k by the end. This first year will be 'a bit' difficult but after that it should be fine, I've got it all planned out (I hope).

From the prices I was seeing for the clubsports in this colour, I thought this one was very decently priced. If I got a 330ci in any other colour, or got an auto, I would have regretted it down the line. This was pretty much my no1 choice and I found one I liked, and when I went to see it, it blew me away, the interior and exterior is mint. It feels like its come straight out of the show room.

To be honest that sounds like the car is circa £12k before interest which isn't bad for a 330Ci Clubsport at all.

I just hope you've done your maths especially if you feel the finance will stretch you this year. These are NOT cheap to run cars and neither are they a parragon of reliability either. It will cost a lot to keep on the road, stuff will go wrong and it will cost you money, money you might not have budgeted for.

At the very least it's prudent to have a fund of about a grand set aside running a car like this of this age for unintended expenses.

I was very concerned about things that might go wrong which is why I got it with 1 years warranty. Plus it passed the MOT this march which also gave me some confidence. God willing, it should be alright for a long while.

Most warranties are not worth the paper they are written on and will not cover wear and tear in things like suspension components and sensors which is what will give you trouble.

If it's not a BMW AUC warranty it'll probably be exceedingly picky about what it covers - you might want to check ;)
