How do you leave these switched on.

Specifically, i need to change my plug setup, and leave my BT modem on when i am away for a few days (which i do every week)

I currently have a 4 multiplug (printer, desktop speakers, shredder, monitor) in wall socket A.

And my BT modem and desktop in wall socket B.

I now need to leave my BT modem on to operate a ring doorbell.

Is it safe to leave wallsocket B (modem and desktop) on for a few days while i am away, or should i plug the modem into socket B on its own and put the desktop into wall socket A instead of the shredder. This means the desktop in wall socket A 4 plug woukd be off fkr a couple of days a week, as well as when i go out for the evening when I'm at home.

Not really sure why you need to turn anything off whilst you're away?

Short of anything that actively draws a lot of energy & you'll get no use of whilst you're away (electric heaters etc), I'd just leave everything as is. I can't remember the last time I turned something off at the wall (without that being the main method of operating the device), whether I was at home, or going away for weeks.

Huh?

I think you are worrying far too much about a few low powered devices being left on.

My father in law use to turn everything off at the socket until one day the socket cracked and exposed live terminals. Fatigue cracked the aged plastic... He now only turns off if it needs turning off. (Like never!)

smart plugs are an option.
i use one of these to manage a light as part of an alarm clock along with a socket timer.
Benifit of a remote to turn everything off, or individual plugs, then have the light turn on at set times if the main socket has power.

but honestly i leave everything on usually and dont really turn anything off for any periods of time.

Ive been away from home for a week leaving 4 computers turned on and running along with everything on standby. This definitely sounds like a tinfoil hat question.

I don't even turn things off during storms these days, genuinely not worth the effort when just going out/away.

You're waaaaay overthinking it. I have all sorts in every room just constantly plugged in/switched on. My PC is left on 24/7 even when I'm not home.

I will take the opportunity to randomly mention the plugs you can get that have a timer that counts down, so you press the button it's powered on for 15mins, press it 3 times and it counts down from 45mins, 4 times for 1hr and so on. They're fantastic for charging your devices without overcharging, or throwing the tablet on charge as you head out the door and not have to worry about it still charging when you're back. Obviously don't use them for things that might be damaged from a sudden loss of power like PCs or heavy appliances, but they're perfect for charging stuff.

What's a multiplug?

I only turn things off if going away for an extended period, no point wasting any leccy.

Not sure why you're bothered by leaving them on for a weekend away or whatever.

Do they conspire behind your back when you're not there?

If you don't trust your electronics enough to leave them turned off when you go out for the evening, then get an electrician to check your electrics and/or speak to your GP about potential OCD.
Its the multi plugs. I'm happy isolating the modem, but is it OK turning the desktop and 4 multi plug off, or is it safe leaving the modem and desktop via the multiplug on for 2 days

Besides Smart Plugs, you can also obtain individually switched multi-plugs, so you can turn off individual items that are plugged in without turning off the rest if that's really something important enough for you to consider.
