I have an ssd in my desktop, which is running out of space. What i would like to do, is to get another ssd drive, and use this as an external hard drive, making use of usb 3.0, using the drive to store virtual machines, and other data, so that i can make use of it between both my desktop and laptop.
Would use 3.0 allow me to run the virtual machines from the external ssd drive directly, without any performance hit? Also, same question really, but am i going to get full performance out of the ssd external drive making use of usb 3.0?
