Utube

might not have been the best example, but youtube is not "the world"

it is , youtube

how hard is it to have a RTM button, like they do on ocuk ?
Youtube has people from all over the world going on it all the time, individual McDs don't so it's like THUH WERLD!

Also there is the "Flag" button to flag it as inappropriate which is like RTM.

If I had kids that young I wouldn't let them wonder the internets by themselves any ways when there's such sites as rotten and 4chan.

Sorry.

Personally I wouldn't let anyone under the age of 12 on the internet unsupervised. I wouldn't let anyone on the internet under the age of 9, period. It's an adult application more than anything.

I agree that Youtube comments are absolutely unnecessary. Normally comments sections aren't typically a problem on most articles and features on websites, but when they're as degenerate and vile as the ones on Youtube, they have got to go.

A lot of flash alternative, porn and even piracy/illegal sites removed comments altogether, yet the main frontrunner hasn't. Something is amiss here.

So you want Youtube (I presume this the site the OP means?) to remove comments because of a small majority?

My 4 year old is banned from youtube now after a lazytown incident.....
She was googling lazytown innocently and one of the links was two sportacus guys bumming each other, not so nice to explain.

Omg lmao... im so glad my kids havent found that one. Its bad enougth my son found postman pat stuff that the bbc would never ever broadcast.

That 'Postman ****' has been around for as long as the programme itself. I remember watching it during a lock-in in 'The Rigger' many moons ago, just after Maggie took over from Dave for anyone who knows the pub.
